Deer Lodge

Deer Lodge sits to the north of Portage Ave, extending to Silver Ave between Conway St and Sackville St. While there are no dedicated cycling trails, both Bruce Ave and Lodge Ave are generally safe streets running east-west.

There are four city parks, including the Deer Lodge Community Centre:

• J. Frank Johnston Park sits along the south side of Ness Ave at Belvidere St, featuring a playground and tennis courts.
• Wightman Green is found on the north side of Ness Ave at Linwood St, featuring a pathway around a monument to Reginald Wightman.
• The Deer Lodge Community Centre is found along Bruce Ave between Linwood St and Albany St. The park area features a playground, two hockey rinks, and two baseball diamonds.
• Truro Park straddles Truro Creek, nestled in between Portage Ave and Bruce Ave just east of Albany St. The park features several hills with stunning views of the creekbed.
