Buchanan sits between the west Perimeter Highway and Buchanan Ave, bounded by Saskatchewan Ave to the north, and Portage Ave to the south. There are several entry points along Portage Ave, but Buchanan Ave is the only street that enters off Saskatchewan Ave, and has an available bus route. There are a handful of city parks and playgrounds, the largest being Isbister Park.
