Taché Promenade

The Taché Promenade is a long pathway hugging the east shore of the Red River, running all the way from the Provencher Bridge to the Norwood Bridge. A handful of monuments and information panels can be found along the path, with plenty of scenic spots offering a view of the Red River and the downtown skyline.

Welcome to the Taché Promenade! A pair of stone carvings greet visitors near the public docks, where an information panel describes the role of Chief One Arrow during the 1885 North-West Resistance.

Visitors can enter the promenade from the intersection between Provencher Blvd and Taché Ave. Facing southwest.

Visitors can wander in to the north entrance of the Belvédère Saint-Boniface, opened in 1984 by Queen Elizabeth II. Facing southwest.

Visitors can enter the promenade at the intersection between Taché Ave and Despins St. Facing northwest.

Just south of the entrance off Despins St, you'll find a monument and several information panels describing the history of the Sisters of Charity of Montreal Grey Nuns. Facing northwest.

The long pathway continues southwest as it passes behind the St. Boniface hospital.
