South Assiniboine Parkway

The South Assiniboine Parkway sits on the south shore of the Assiniboine River, behind the Westboine Park Housing Co-op. It's accessible via a pathway at the intersection between Elmvale Cres and Shelmerdine Dr, or through Daniel Flood Park from the east. There's a trail running through the trees, with several spots providing a view of the river.

Welcome to the South Assiniboine Parkway! A sidewalk at the intersection between Elmvale Cres and Shelmerdine Dr leads the way into the parkway, facing north.

A bench in the northwest corner of the parkway offers a peaceful spot near the treeline. Just to the left of here, a trail leads down to the river. Facing northeast.

At the end of the northwest trail, the foliage slightly obscures the view of the riverbend. Facing northeast.

A picnic table sits amongst the trees behind the Westboine Park Housing Co-op. Look closely, and you'll spot a deer wandering near the foliage. Facing northeast.

Another trail leads down to the river, offering a much better view of the opposite treeline. Facing northwest.

Near the east edge of the parkway, the trail coming from Daniel Green Park splits in multiple directions. The path to the right leads down to the river. Facing west.

A fairly deep gully splits the parkway near the northeast corner, making it potentially tricky to traverse to Daniel Flood Park by foot.
